Below you'll find the birthmoms we are currently working with.  Each birthmother is first introduced to families who have signed with us.  

Sometimes, however, we have birthmothers who are not a good fit with our existing couples.  In those situations, we open our search to families across the country.

Ali                                                          

Caucasian girl due 1-18-11

Ali is 34 years old, 5' 2" tall with shiny, long, straight brown hair and big, beautiful brown eyes.  She does not smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol or use illegal drugs.  Ali's drug panel came back totally negative for all illegal drugs and alcohol.  Ali has three children who are not living with her.  The ultrasound inidates that the baby is a girl and is developing normally. 

Ali has a very sweet personality.  She is shy and soft-spoken.  She is currently living with a family that has taken her under their wing because they wanted to help her, and they enjoy her company.  Ali loves art and being outside.  She is very committed to the adoption because she thinks it would be unfair to her three children to keep this baby and not be able to take care of them.  Ali grew up in a very dysfunctional family and she wants to make sure that this baby finds a very loving family who will offer her all the opportunities life has to offer.  

Johnny is 44 years old, 5' 8" tall with blonde hair and blue eyes.  He is into cars and sports.  Currently he is in prison, and the adoptive parents' attorney will need to terminate his rights.  

Ali is open to all types of families.  She would like to stay in touch with the family through letters and photos after the birth.  She would love a family that would allow her to visit once a year.  That visit could take place at one of our yearly picnics or holiday parties.

Tammy                                                          

Caucasian baby due 12-15-10

Tammy is 24 years old, of Italian/German descent with blue eyes and brown hair.  She is 5' 1" tall, weighs 150 lbs. and smokes cigarettes but does not drink alcohol or use any illegal drugs.   

Tammy is currently in college and was referred to us by a classmate who relinquished two babies through our practice.  This will be Tammy's third baby.  Her daughter was born when Tammy was 15 years old, and she presently lives with Tammy's grandmother.  Her one-year-old daughter is being raised by the baby's father.  Tammy sees her often, and she has an excellent relationship with the dad, but they are no longer dating.  Tammy is majoring in criminal justice and wants to be a probation officier when she graduates.  

The birthfather is of Swedish descent.  He is in his early 30's, 6' 1" tall,  weighs 200 lbs. and has blue eyes and blonde hair.  He is currently incarcerated and is not a nice man.  

Tammy is looking for a family that can't have their own children and has been waiting a long time to have a baby.  She is open to all types of families (traditional families, same-sex couples or single parents).  Tammy would like photos and letters from the adoptive parents after birth and would like them to be open to letting the child meet her when he or she desires.

Samantha                                                          

Caucasian/Hispanic/Filipino boy due 1-21-11

Samantha is of Italian/Hispanic descent.  She is 27 years old, 5' 7" tall and weighs 225 lbs.  She has brown hair and brown eyes and does not smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol or use illegal drugs.  In the past Samantha was involved in drugs, but she enrolled herself in a clinic and has been totally clean since July 2009.  She is willing to be drug tested as often as the adoptive parents would like.  

Samantha has three children who are now being raised by her mother in a two-bedroom apartment.  The youngest child is only one year old, and her mom has told her that she just cannot raise another.  Samantha's mom totally supports the adoption plan.  Samantha is a very outgoing and happy young lady.  She is extremely friendly and bright and likes to write poetry and listen to music.   

Marty is of Hispanic/Filipino descent, 37 years old, 5' 10" tall and weighs 200 lbs.  He has brown hair and brown eyes and does not smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol or use illegal drugs.  Samantha and Marty have known each other for eight years.  He knows about the pregnancy and has agreed to sign the adoption papers. Marty is the caregiver for his mother, who is dying of cancer.  He is a very kind young man who loves to laugh and has a big smile.  His hobbies are music and working on cars.  

Samantha wants a "normal family" where the parents do not yell or scream at each other in front of the kids.  She will consider single moms or heterosexual couples.  She wants to get to know them during the pregnancy and wants photos and letters twice a year for 18 years.  Samantha does not want visits because she thinks it would be too hard on the child and too confusing.  Samantha lives in the Bay Area and will not go with a local family.  She prefers an out-of-state family or one in Southern California, so she doesn't run into the child or family at the mall or grocery store.  

We will be taking Samantha for an ultrasound on Thursday, August 19, and we should know the baby's gender then.

Joy                                 Matched                         

Fijian/Caucasian boy due 2-1-11

Joy is of Fijian descent, 27 years old, 5' 9" tall and weighs 240 labs.  She has brown eyes and black hair.  Joy does not smoke cigarettes, use illegal drugs or drink alcohol.  She has a ten year old who lives with her ex-husband, and her aunt and uncle are parenting her five-year old son. 

Joy and her husband Ken have a two year old little girl who is living with them, and last year they relinquished another little girl for adoption. Joy says they are struggling financially since Ken is not able to find enough work during these difficult times.  Joy has given birth to all of her babies naturally, without an epidural, because she believes that is best for the baby.  She has full prenatal and delivery coverage with Medi-Cal and has been taking prenatal vitamins.  Her first OB appointment will be on July 28.  

Ken is Caucasian, 26 years old, 6' 2" tall and weighs 240 lbs.   He has blue eyes and blonde hair and does not smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol or use illegal drugs.  We interviewed Ken along with Judy.  He is very sweet and very committed to finding adoptive parents for this baby.  Joy and Ken will consider all types of families: single parents, same-sex couples and traditional families.  They would like to receive photos and letters twice a year after the baby is born.

Nicole                                                          

Caucasian baby due 2-25-11

Nicole is 29 years old, 5' 1" tall with blue eyes and blonde hair.  She has a delightful, upbeat personality and is very smart.  Nicole has relinquished two babies through our practice in the past, and she is delighted that she has been able to stay in touch with the families, and they have stayed in touch with each other though emails, photos and occassional phone calls.  Nicole came from a very dysfunctional family background and has used meth in the past.  Her recent drug test was negative for all illegal substances and alcohol.  She says she is now clean and is committed to staying that way.  Nicole's favorite hobby is cooking, and some day she would love to go to culinary school to become a chef.   

Harrison is 29 years old, 5' 8" tall and of Russian/Jewish descent.  He has green/gray eyes and brown hair.  He is an excellent Ping Pong player and has been active in inprovisation, acting and modeling.   Nicole and Harrison live together, and he agrees with the adoption plan.  Harrison has already signed the presumed birthfather waiver.

Nicole and Harrison are looking for a heterosexual couple who will stay in touch with them through emails, photos and occassional phone calls.  It is essential that the adoptive parents will also stay in touch with the families that adopted her other two babies.  Both live out of state, and Nicole and Harrison, who lives in California, will consider out-of-state families this time as well.

Rachel                                                          

Caucasian/Hispanic Boy Due 9-16-10

Rachel is 25 years old, 5' 4" tall and weighs 140 lbs.  She has green/hazel eyes and dark blonde hair.  Rachel smokes cigarettes but does not drink alcohol.  She has used some meth during this pregnancy but is trying very hard to stop.  Rachel had a very hard childhood.  She was taken away from her parents as an infant, and she doesn't remember them at all.   She spent a year in foster care before she was adopted by a single mom.  Unfortunately, her mom was not financially stable, and Rachel was left alone a lot because her mom was always working.  At the age of 18 Rachel found out that she had brothers who were raised in a family that lived close-by.  She is now in touch with them, and they have become an important part of her life.   

Rachel has a six-year-old son who is being raised by his paternal grandparents.  She didn't want her son to have the impovershed childhood she had, and she wants a good life for this baby.  Rachel loves art and did a project at school that has now become a permanent part of an East Bay art museum.  She is extremely talented, and many people have offered to buy her drawings.  

Carl is of Hispanic descent, 33 years old, 5' 7" tall and weighs 150 lbs.  He has black hair and brown eyes.  He is currently incarcerated and has no interest in parenting this baby.  

Rachel is looking for a heterosexual couple that will send her photos and letters after the baby is born.  She prefers a family with other children because she was very lonely being an only child.  She wants this baby to have a much better childhood than she did.
